Trakai Island Castle
The 14th-15th century red-brick seat of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania on Lake Galvė, 28 km before Vilnius. Try kibinai, the Karaim pastries, for lunch.
From your hotel in Vilnius to your door in Riga, with the island castle of Trakai, the Hill of Crosses and the Baroque Rundāle Palace along the way. One fixed price for the whole car.
From €415 per vehicle including one sightseeing stop
The direct road from Vilnius to Riga takes about three and a half hours, but the best sights of Lithuania and southern Latvia lie almost on the way, so a private car turns the transfer into one of the best days of a Baltic trip.
Start with Trakai, the red-brick island castle 30 minutes west of Vilnius. Further north, the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai holds more than 100,000 crosses and is unlike anything else in Europe. Just across the border in Latvia, Rundāle Palace, built by the architect of the Winter Palace in St Petersburg, and Bauska Castle round off the day before Riga.
You choose the stops and how long to stay at each. One stop is included in the price; the others are added in the booking form, and the driver plans the timing so you reach Riga before evening.
| Class | Vehicles | Passengers | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Car | Volvo V60, Mercedes-Benz E-Class | 3 | from €415 |
| Standard Van | Opel Zafira Life | 7 | from €485 |

Longer or extra stops are added at their own price. For the Large Van, ask for a price on WhatsApp or +371 28 348 000 - book at least 3 days ahead.
This is a day trip: the driver stays with you at the stops for extra hours. Just a direct transfer without stops? From €345 per vehicle - get the price in the booking form.
Choose at least one stop when you book, and how long to stay. The driver waits with the car and your luggage.

Five grassy hillforts above the Neris valley, where Lithuania’s first capital stood in the Middle Ages. A UNESCO World Heritage site, 35 km before Vilnius.

A classicist palace from 1802 above the Lielupe river, a few kilometres from Rundāle. The domed hall and the English-style park are quieter than its famous neighbour.

Two castles on one ridge where the Mūsa and Mēmele rivers meet: the ruined Livonian Order fortress and the Dukes’ residence, now a museum with a tower you can climb.
